Getting Around
How do I get back to spawn?
Walk, or use the Nether. There's no /spawn command — vanilla travel only. Spawn is at roughly -107, 61, -54 in the Overworld, which is -13, y, -7 in the Nether. If you have a portal near spawn already, it's the fastest way back.
How do I set my spawn point?
Sleep in a bed. Place it at your base and sleep before doing anything risky. Write down your base coordinates too — beds get blown up in the Nether and End.
How does the sleep vote work?
Once 50% of online players are in bed, the night skips. If you want to skip, say so in chat — someone usually joins in.
How do I link a Nether portal to my base?
Divide your Overworld X and Z by 8 — that's where your Nether-side portal goes. The World page has the full explanation with an example. Ask in Discord if you're having trouble — portal linking can be finicky.
Rules and Gray Areas
Can I use minimaps?
Yes. Minimaps, shaders, OptiFine — fine. X-ray, kill aura, fly hacks — not okay. Full list on How We Do Things. If you're not sure about a specific mod, ask.
Can I build a mob farm or grinder?
Yes. Farms are fine. Be considerate about lag — if your farm is causing problems, you'll be asked to fix it. Don't monopolize resources either. When in doubt about a specific design, ask before you build.
Is PvP allowed?
Only if both players agree. Don't attack someone who hasn't consented to a fight. Arrange it first.
What about duplication glitches or zero-tick farms?
Gray area. Ask before using them. We'd rather discuss it than deal with it after the fact.
If Something Goes Wrong
Someone griefed my build. What do I do?
Message Staticpast on Discord. Be specific — what happened, when, coordinates if you have them, screenshots if possible. We run daily backups, so most things can be restored. We handle reports privately.
I died and lost everything. Can I get it back?
No. Hard mode, no death protection. This is why you set your bed spawn, write down coordinates, and don't carry everything when exploring new areas.
The server's down. What now?
Check Discord. Maintenance windows are announced ahead of time. Updates roll out at 6 AM GMT, backups run at 4 AM GMT. If it's unplanned, someone will post about it.

Where is everyone?
Check Discord. The server goes quiet sometimes — people have lives. Peak times are evenings and weekends, mostly European time zones. Discord is active even when the server isn't.
Who runs the server?
Staticpast. Owner, admin, and the person to contact if something needs sorting out.
How long has the server been running?
Since 2013, with breaks and resets along the way. This world started fresh in January 2026.
What version is the server?
Java Edition, latest version. No mods required to connect.
