The Nether
Nether hub and travel system
The Nether is our fast-travel network. Travel one block here, travel eight in the Overworld. Players have built a hub to make getting around easier.
The Nether Hub
The Nether hub is at 0, 0 in the Nether (directly above the Overworld spawn portal). It's a central station with paths leading in all directions.
- Main tunnels run in the cardinal directions (N/S/E/W).
- Branch tunnels lead to player bases and points of interest.
- Signs mark destinations and coordinates.
Using the Hub
To get somewhere fast:
- Enter the Nether from spawn (or your own portal).
- Navigate to the hub at 0, 0 if needed.
- Follow the appropriate tunnel toward your destination.
- Exit through a portal near where you want to be.
Building Your Own Connection
Want to connect your base to the network?
- Build a portal at your Overworld base.
- Calculate the Nether coordinates (Overworld coords Γ· 8).
- Build a Nether-side portal at those coordinates.
- Connect to the nearest main tunnel with a safe path.
If you need help with portal linking, ask in Discord. It can be tricky to get right.
Nether Safety
The Nether is dangerous. Even on established paths:
- Bring fire resistance potions if you have them.
- Watch for ghasts - they can spawn anywhere with space.
- Don't dig straight down - lava lakes are everywhere.
- Carry building blocks to bridge gaps or escape trouble.
Nether Resources
With the fresh world in January 2026, the Nether is wide open. Ancient debris, bastions, fortressesβit's all out there waiting. When Minecraft updates arrive, we preserve the main tunnel infrastructure.
